Since the fall of man at the garden of Eden, man has always been prone to make mistakes and the consequences of it has made him pay for life. But not until the coming of Christ Jesus. He paid a ransom for all our sins. And with Him came the era of God’s goodness and grace. An unlimited display of God’s love to experience, that covers a multitude of our mistakes and has the power to change them into something better, unimaginable.
Let’s see how God’s goodness and love sees our mistakes:
In the dictionary of God there’s nothing called ‘mistake’. It is a terminology limited to man. A term that has consequences attached to it. but in the kingdom of God you will be amazed to know that this term doesn’t exist.
God is sovereign, all powerful, all mighty, all wise, all glorious and full of life. Nothing is a surprise, mistake or disaster for him. The Life in him curves every disaster and turns them into a glorious blessing.
“Is there anything too hard for me” ? Says the Lord. Jer 32:17
All the pain, agony, hurt, disappointment, mistake, discouragement is limited to us. God is off this grid. A mistake in the sight of man is an opportunity in the sight of God. His goodness is full of heaven in such quantum that it can practically wipe every sin and it’s consequences of the entire world from all generations. He keeps a part of the consequence for our learning and strengthening. When His goodness rests, there’s not a stain left. His newness will simply cover all the scars of life, while His grace will pick us up and make us stand again; this time, in the strength of the Lord.
For all the biggest and miserable mistakes I keep doing in my life due to my weakness, there’s more; much more to what God’s goodness can do with it. And that’s why I celebrate even when I fall. I sing aloud when I trip, I even boast of all my weakness because I get to taste and see God’s goodness better than others in the safe zone.
God’s hand is magical, powerful. With just one swing over your life He can turn everything new and beautiful. Great and deep your sorrow and pain may be for the night, but by morning the sun is up, and His goodness covers you like the mist that lays on every grass. Everything is changed and is made new. The old is gone, and the new is here, as if it was a dream. If goodness has a signature, it is the ‘New’!
